HHIH receives Excellent - Excellent on report card second year in a row!

These are the criteria that are used for the report card:
1.       Grad rate (4 years after they roll over from the middle school to the high school)
2.       5^th year grad rate
3.       End of Course exams for Algebra 1, English 1, Biology and US History
4.       HSAP passage rate for every student the first time they take it.
5.       HSAP passage rate based on whether they pass it by graduation

Congratulations to this year's winners of the Science Fair. In the Physical Science category, 1st place Brian Ludewig, 2nd place Matt Joslin. In the Life Sciences category, 1st place Team Jessica geltz and Nicole Moosbrugger, 1st place Individual Olivia Joslin, 2nd place Bridgette Noonan. Congratulations Label Lewis - State Champ in 3-A Wrestling 132 lb. second year in a row!!!! Congrats Kaylon Ford on being named All-American for football! Rest in Peace Barrett Fenn our hearts and prayers are with your family. Congrats Heidi Stine for taking 2nd place in the South Carolina Junior Duck Stamp Contest and Carolanne O'Fee for receiving an Honorable Mention. Congratulations National Merit Finalists Marianna Parlagreco and Alexander Reamy! Congratulations Caroline Cauthen - you've been accepted by audition into the high school honors choir 2013 and will attend the National American Choral Directors Association Conference in Dallas in March. Congratulations Mrs Amanda O'Nan one of 3 finalists for Secondary Principal of the Year for South Carolina - You Rock! Congratulations Caitlin Delory and Chloe Pinnock - your photos will be published in the upcoming book Best High School Photos 2012.Congratulations Seahawks for receiving Excellent-Excellent on our school report card - second year in a row - You ROCK! Congratulations Ms Schoelkopf-Lewis the Island School Council for the Arts named you Outstanding Arts Educator for 2012!
